Leaving the customs union meant that it would be instantly more difficult to move goods to and from the UK / EU. Importers and exporters alike have avalanches of paperwork and registrations to complete, despite the much-lauded Brexit deal completed by Boris Johnson on 30th December 2020. Under the deal, struck last month, trade between the EU and the UK remains tariff and quota free, but a new full customs border means goods must be checked and paperwork filled in. The trade deal was not a signal or a " get out clause " to prevent the need for the paperwork and necessary registrations to both import and export to and from the EU. Disruptions to supply chains will occur and the days of free-flowing seamless trading is over.
Have you had your goods held up at the border? Does your business or company have the correct paperwork to carry on trading? There are NO exceptions everyone crossing the border MUST HAVE THE CORRECT PAPERWORK. The Red Tape won't go away, nor will it disappear.
Need help today and cannot find a customs broker, look no further.....
